Hi! I’m Anna Vainio – an actor with a fascination for musical improvisation.
After graduating from Guildford School of Acting with a Master of Art in Acting, I’ve been deepening my skills in dance, movement and accents. I’m fluent in Finnish, Swedish and English, and I play several instruments. Lately I’ve been active in Sointi Musical Improvisation Theatre, Intopiukeet Improvisation Theatre and Teatteri Helsinki.
I have taken a one-year acting course at Västra Nylands Folkshögskola and several short courses at Actors Centre London, Helsinki Theatre Academy, Ilmaisuverstas and with Showstoppers the Improvised Musical.
My passion for improvisation and musical theater grew out of my time at Oxford School of Drama where I spent six months deep-diving into acting in musical theatre.
